Nikki and Domenic were hot and heavy during the next few weeks and the abrupt boyfriend swap was the talk of the girls when the news broke. When she thought about graduating, she actually felt a bit sad that she was finished with her education after spending the past 17 years going to school every day. She was also excited to start the next chapter in her life. Although Nikki had lived as an adult since leaving her parents’ house after high school, in her eyes, the end of her schooling signified a true entrance into adulthood and she was looking forward to what life would offer for herself and Stefania. Nikki returned to work the week leading into Christmas and she enjoyed getting back to her former life, but she knew staying away once school resumed was in the best interest of Stefania. One of the things that came with having Stefania was not only the first Christmas she spent her own house, but it was the first with Nikki and Stefania as a family. Gina was also home for the holidays and Nikki was thrilled to watch Stefania open her presents and sit on the couch next to her all day as they watched movies and fiddled with new gifts.
